What to Bring for Sandals Grenada
Sandals Resorts provide so much that you can pack light. You don’t need to bring a hairdryer, for instance. If you forget anything, a gift shop is on site.
The dress code is casual during the day and resort elegant at night, so you can wear a variety of shorts, t-shirts and tanks, lightweight short sleeve shirts, sundresses, casual trousers, and swimmers, as well as dressier attire with shoes for dining in more sophisticated establishments. Bring the necessary clothing if you intend to play golf. Women may want to carry a scarf, shawl, or light jacket in air-conditioned places.
Since you’ll probably wear a swimsuit every day, pack multiple suits. Women can bring a stylish cover-up to wear around the resort and shorts to wear over their swimwear for watersports. A rash guard is helpful for watersports too.
Depending on your Grenada activities, pack different footwear. If you’re planning to walk or play sports, bring tennis shoes, water shoes, flip-flops, and sandals.
You’ll need your passport, which must be valid for at least six months, and ID, including a driver’s license if you’re renting a car. But keep in mind that Grenadans drive on the left!
You should also carry cash for airport tips, taxis, and local businesses that don’t accept credit cards, as well as a credit card in case you wish to add additional like spa services or explore Grenada. Ask ahead of time if a departure tax is required; if it isn’t, you may have to pay it in cash at the airport.
Tip: Bring two cards and save one for emergencies. Keep your payment card numbers and customer service information handy.
As with any trip, pack your medicine. You won’t need to worry about your luggage getting lost if you put it in your carry-on bag. In addition to prescription medications, you can bring over-the-counter items like aspirin, ibuprofen, stomach treatments, seasickness medicine, and antihistamines. If you forget, these medicines will be at the gift shop.
To avoid any problems, keep all prescription pills in their original containers when flying.
Choose a bag that can get wet and sandy to carry all your beach gear. Sunglasses, sun hats, and sunscreen—the greater the SPF, the better in the Caribbean! If you’re diving or snorkeling, use reef-safe sunscreen. Sandals Resorts provide complimentary beach towels, so you don’t need to bring them.
