17. Sandals Royal Curacao ( Newest Sandals Resort)

As summer gets closer, Sandals Resorts, the leader in all-inclusive resorts, is putting the finishing touches on its brand-new Sandals Royal Curaçao, which opens on June 1. This will be Sandals’ 16th property overall and its ninth location in the Caribbean.
The brand-new resort is in one of the most beautiful parts of Curaçao. It is on 44 oceanfront acres inside the Santa Barbara private estate, a 3,000-acre private protected preserve. It faces west, and its design is meant to show off one of the Caribbean’s most magnificent sunsets.
It has 351 beautiful rooms and suites that stretch along the beach of the Caribbean and the calm, sheltered Spanish Water Bay. They have a modern look inside, with blue and green botanical details that match the lush, tropical surroundings of the island.
There are 24 different types of rooms on three different category levels, including two brand-new types of signature suites. The latest Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalows and Awa Seaside Butler Bungalows offer high levels of privacy, private patios with an extended sun deck, sun loungers, and a Tranquility Soaking Tub, and a bistro set, as well as personal butler service and 24-hour room service.
The stunning Kurason Island Bungalows have a tropical garden view and are set up in Sandals’ signature heart shape around a semi-private lagoon pool with a man-made island in the middle. The beautiful Awa Seaside Bungalows are right on the beach and have stunning sea views. And each has its own private infinity pool that looks out over the calm Spanish Waters.
Another first for the Sandals brand is that guests of both of these signature suite types can use a stylish and sporty MINI Cooper for free to get around the island as they wish. Other types of guests can use free Dutch bikes to discover the 3,000 acres of lush, tropical land that surrounds the resort.
Sandals Royal Curaçao has more “firsts” than any other Sandals property. For example, it’s the first Sandals property on an island where the primary language isn’t English. The resort also has Sandals’ first two-level infinity pool, called Dos Awa. Its azure blue waters seem to flow right into the azure sea beyond. Another unique and first-of-its-kind feature is the natural saltwater pool with a sand bottom that is cut into the rocks along the coast and filled by the ocean.
Guests can eat and drink as much as they want at any of the resort’s 13 unique bars and eight world-class Global Gourmet Signature restaurants. Eight of the restaurants are brand-new concepts that are only available at Sandals Royal Curaçao.
Outside of the formal dining areas, there are three food trucks, which is another first for Sandals, that serve Curaçaoan food, Spanish tapas, and Asian fusion dishes. An ice-cream cart also serves creamy signature flavors to appease a sweet tooth.

Reviews and testimonials from Sandals Resorts
Tracy M says:
We visited Sandals Barbados in 2015, some of the negatives I can see, the butlers reserving chairs that are never used is very unfair. Other chairs that are not butlers were cleared after an hour of non use though. Barbados is gorgeous and the food was excellent, butch’s do a great steak. The staff in the Merry Monkey are great and its a nice cool place to hang out if your over heated.
We staying in the crystal lagoon room and its stunning. Its a small resort yes, but it’s expanding hopefully with more pools. We are hoping to visit Grenada this year.
Chad says:
My wife and I have been to Sandals twice. Both times we have been to Grand Riviera also know as Ocho Rios and now Ochi. Don’t know why they keep changing the names. Anyways we both had a wonderful time and were treated like royalty. The resort was always very clean, rooms were good. We stayed on the ocean side, never was bored. The food was good, the only thing I wished for was bigger portions at some of the restaurant’s. We were there in 2010 as well as 2014. The reason we went back was there was a lot of remodeling going on in 2010 that we wanted to see if completed. We are actually going on our 3rd Sandals trip in the next 10 days. We will be going to Sandals Halcyon in St Lucia. Hoping that we have just as good of a time in St Lucia as we did in Jamaica.

Sandals Resorts for snorkeling and diving
Which is the best Sandals Resort for Snorkeling and diving? When you’re done with history, when you can’t stand the thought of going to another museum, and when you’ve seen every open-air market, the only thing left to do is go underwater.
If you want to go snorkeling, you don’t have to be a scuba diver to do it. It’s easy enough for kids, and even the most jaded traveler will enjoy it. Snorkeling is a great way to truly immerse yourself in nature, whether you’re taking your child to see an underwater ecosystem or just want to get up near and personal with a welcoming shark.
But unfortunately, climate change is putting the watery wonderland at risk. Coral bleaching has already hit many of the world’s reefs. Coral is disappearing worldwide, and some scientists think it could be gone by 2050. Starting to plan your dream snorkeling trip is much more of a reason.
So, without further ado, let’s begin!
1. Montego Bay, Jamaica
It’s one of the crowd’s favorite ways to have fun while on vacation, and there are a lot of great snorkeling spots on the island of Jamaica!
Jamaica is absolutely gorgeous all over, but it’s even more beautiful in the turquoise water. In Montego Bay on the north coast, you can discover a handful of the best snorkeling in Jamaica. The island is excellent for swimming, too.
Snorkeling in Montego Bay can be a lot of fun, but you should know that it’s going to be a lot of work. There’s a lot to see and do in Jamaica, from the beach to the sea. If you want to go snorkeling in Montego Bay, read on for all the information you need about the best places, the best weather, and the best depth for snorkeling.
Montego Bay is a great place to snorkel. Even though snorkeling in Jamaica is excellent all year round, a few months stand out above others as being particularly good for diving and snorkeling — such as between March to May.
All in all, Jamaica has a primarily sunny climate with temperatures that range from 73°F to 89°F, so you’ll have plenty of good days to go snorkeling.
You’re more likely to have strong visibility while snorkeling in Jamaica if the weather is good.
It all depends on where you decide to go snorkeling in Jamaica. If you’re snorkeling near the coast or around one of the more fabulous depth reefs, you’ll have more chances to see a plethora of sea creatures.
In general, when you snorkel in the clear waters of Jamaica, you can anticipate seeing things like sea urchins, angelfish, and parrotfish. Snorkelers may even see clownfish, large-eyed squirrelfish, dartfish, kingfish, jack, mackerel, whiting fish, tuna, and sometimes turtles because the northern coast is a place where turtles lay their eggs.
You may not often see stuff like the four-eye butterflyfish or sharpnose puffers, but they are still there.
The more colorful and flowery coral you might see around Montego Bay is likely to be soft coral, which involves bubble coral. Two main things set soft coral apart from hard coral: this species often looks like one big thing, while hard coral can be found in groups. Brain coral and elkhorn coral are two types of hard coral usually found in Jamaica. If you don’t see sea fans, star coral, or torch coral often, keep an eye out.
